MAYOR
Hard Work Ahead (2022-2026)
On November 5th, 2018 I was sworn in as the 28th Mayor (Reeve) of Oak Bay. It's been an honour and a privilege to serve Oak Bay in this capacity for the last four years. I deeply respect the obligations and responsibilities of the Office of Mayor and I am proud that Oak Bay is a provincial leader in respectful debate, good governance, and transparency.

I would like to acknowledge and thank the current Council and staff for their tireless work over the last four years. The pandemic and the accompanying public health orders required hundreds of changes to the District's lines of business, sometimes changing daily, and everyone worked incredibly hard to keep services open and our community safe.
If given the honour of one more term, I will continue the work which is critical to our long term viability including financial planning, accelerated asset replacement, housing reforms, and business center revitalization.
There is much work to do.

Over the next few weeks you will see detailed policies posted to this site. Most relate to making Oak Bay a highly effective and efficient municipality. On less "foundational" note, I will also spend this term working with my fellow Mayors and higher levels of government to see the creation of an outdoor pool complex in the region. It's time.
